Welcome to Iris
Iris Hotel Cape Cod keeps you close to the things that make this place feel like the Cape: beach roads and cedar shingles, Vineyard ferry mornings, the Shining Sea Bikeway, Woods Hole afternoons, and downtown Falmouth dinners.
The stay itself is easy: free parking, bright modern rooms, mini-fridges, strong Wi-Fi, breakfast downstairs, and the indoor pool waiting when the fog rolls in or the afternoon breeze turns cool.
Cape Cod, in the details
The Cape is in the textures: weathered cottages, purple-blue blooms, beach grass moving in the wind, and pale evening light on Jones Road.
Coffee first, then the Island Queen. Iris keeps Vineyard crossings, harbor walks, and Woods Hole afternoons close enough to feel unforced.
Come when the beaches breathe, Nobska catches the late sun, the tavern feels warm, and Falmouth slows into the kind of weekend people remember.
A Cape Cod state of mind
Iris is built for the way people actually travel the Cape: beach towels in the back seat, ferry plans that change with the sky, kids asking about the pool, and one more drink before calling it a night.
Beach
Go early for soft light and calmer water, come back sandy, and let the indoor pool take over when the sea breeze turns.
Ferry
A simple Falmouth base makes an Island Queen day feel easy: coffee, crossing, harbor air, and back before dinner.
Evening
Jones Tavern keeps the evening close: breakfast before the beach, cocktails after the ferry, and a quiet walk back upstairs.
Plan like a local
Iris sits in the useful middle: close enough for beach mornings, ferry days, Woods Hole rides, downtown dinners, and a quiet room when you are ready to come back.
Open the Cape Cod guideMorning
Start with breakfast downstairs, then head to Old Silver Beach before the lots fill. Towels, sunscreen, and a slow drive past shingled cottages are the move.
Midday
Ride the Shining Sea Bikeway toward Woods Hole, stop for lunch in town, then come back for the indoor pool when the salt breeze picks up.
Evening
Catch a Vineyard day trip or keep it local with dinner and cocktails at the hotel. The next seasonal ferry window is shown as a helpful planning cue.

This hotel was spectacular. It was clean and well maintained. The outside appearance was beautiful. The young lady at the front desk when we checked in was so friendly and helpful — a pleasure to talk to. Had supper in the restaurant — excellent meal and really good prices. Nicole, our waitress, was amazing. Really enjoyed our stay — will definitely be back.
Stayed one night to go to Martha's Vineyard the next day. Amanda checked us in at the front desk and she was awesome — friendly, helpful, beautiful smile. She was baking fresh cookies — a lovely touch of lemonade, water, coffee and freshly baked cookies to greet you at reception. Room was clean and spacious. Had breakfast in the restaurant the next morning with a great waiter.
From the front desk staff, management, and housekeeping — they all go beyond to make your stay exceptional. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel is excellent for breakfast.
